About Anne

Anne (she/her) is a gestalt psychotherapist, registered to practice as an advanced trainee. She has a warm, considered and down to earth manner. Anne knows first-hand how daunting it can be to take steps towards healing and growth. She understands how opening up to another requires a felt sense of trust and safety, that we will be me by someone ‘big’ enough to hold all that we are with compassion.

Gestalt therapy enhances self-awareness and capacity to become more choiceful about how we respond to our thoughts and feelings, others and situations. Client and therapist work relationally, holistically and creatively, with an emphasis on what is emerging in and between us in the present moment.

Anne is comfortable working with anyone over 25 who chooses to work with her. She welcomes head, heart and soul into the therapeutic relationship, as well as difficulty and stuckness.

Anne strives to be anti-oppressive, neurodivergent aware and trauma-informed, and is committed to inclusion, intersectionality and social justice.

Anne can help with the following:

  • navigating menopause, midlife and ageing
  • work-related stress and anxiety
  • relationship difficulties and feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns
  • identity and difference (such as gender, sexuality, and cultural heritage)
  • shame and our inner critic
  • complex / developmental / relational trauma
  • on a journey of growth and self-expression
  • distress about conflict, migration or the climate emergency.

Anne works with clients on a short term (6-8 sessions) and open-ended basis. She sees clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (daytime only).

In addition to personal therapy, Anne hosts inclusive menopause support groups and climate cafes. Do get in touch if you would like to know more.
